A practical daily routine
Brush the visible surfaces twice daily with a soft brush and suitable toothpaste. Clean beneath the bridge using products recommended for the space, such as implant floss, superfloss, interdental brushes or an oral irrigator. Devices complement technique; they do not replace careful brushing.
Know the warning signs
Bleeding that persists, bad taste, swelling, discharge, bridge movement or a change in bite needs assessment. Implant disease can develop with little pain, so do not rely on symptoms alone.
Professional review
Attend the review schedule recommended for your risk level. The team may check plaque, probing findings, screws, bite and radiographs. Tell any new dentist which implant system and bridge design you have.
