A Hollywood Smile is a marketing phrase, not a diagnosis. The safest interpretation is a coordinated smile plan that begins with oral health and then considers colour, proportion, alignment and function. It may involve no drilling on some teeth and restorative treatment on others.

Start with health

Decay, gum disease, infection and unstable bite should be diagnosed before cosmetic work. Covering disease with new restorations does not remove the underlying problem.

Choose the least invasive suitable option

Whitening can change natural colour, orthodontics can change position, bonding can add shape, veneers can cover the front surface, and crowns can restore structurally compromised teeth. The plan may combine options.

Design for the individual

Tooth proportions should relate to the lips, face, speech and smile line. A digital design and mock-up can improve communication, but the final outcome still depends on biology, material and clinical execution.

Avoid one-size-fits-all packages

A fixed package of 20 crowns is not a substitute for tooth-by-tooth diagnosis. Ask which teeth need treatment, which can be left alone and why each restoration type is proposed.

Plan maintenance before treatment

Find out how to clean the restorations, whether grinding protection is advised, what reviews are needed and how repair or replacement will be handled.

Next step

If you are considering treatment, share your concerns, photographs and available dental records for a preliminary review. Final diagnosis and treatment planning require clinical examination.
